THE PRESENTER
From a young age, Dan has had a passion for outdoor adventures, particularly in the mountains and deserts, which played a significant positive role in his life. This passion, along with the desire to help others experience these adventures and reach new heights in there life, motivated Dan to start a mountain education and guiding company in 2005 while studying outdoor leadership and business management. Later, to have a greater impact, he began working with professionals in psychology, coaching, and business consulting to combine principles of personal and team growth with outdoor experiences and travel.
In 2015, Dan joined his company with Pinnacle Leadership and Team Development and currently serves as president of Pinnacle West, providing experiential-based personal and team development. Here, he, along with others, provides theory-based principles alongside experiential learning, encouraging individuals to push their comfort zones for personal and leadership growth. Throughout his career, Dan has been fortunate to work with tens of thousands as a guide, instructor, program facilitator, and keynote speaker, leading expeditions and working with groups throughout Utah, Alaska, Kauai, Canada, Central and South America, Russia, and Europe. His clientele spans a wide spectrum, from small startups to Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, MBA programs, and universities.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys getting outside with family and friends rock, ice and alpine climbing, backcountry skiing, and mountain biking, fueling his mission to inspire others through outdoor experiences.
